Most people believe that working from home or starting a home based business with a Network Marketing opportunity undoubtedly means having to sell something.
It is the most uncomfortable thing for the average person to try and convince someone to buy something they really do not want or need. I've seen it right in my home because my wife loves to let people host their "home party" events at our house. A bunch of ladies sitting around while the person holding the party tells them why they just have to have the new "mocha whatever scented candle" or how the latest Avon perfume is all the craze.
It's not bad enough to try and sell this stuff to people but you know it is a network marketing deal so to make the really good money you also need to convince people to also sell it as well. It's called creating a down line or team. With most home based business like these you start making larger bonuses when you are able to "sell" the business to others as well as "sell" the product.
What I want to talk about creating or getting involved in opportunities working from home where selling is not really like selling. After all, the last thing we want to do is start online job of sorts and find ourselves sitting thinking "How am I going to sell this crap to anybody?".
The key is to find a home business where the service or product you are "selling" is something that people really do need or it is perceived to be needed.
Providing Information vs Selling <

When you have a product that is actually needed and provides real value in someones life then you really do not have to "sell" anything. With my own home business I sign people up for a product every day and I also sign people up to work at home signing people up as well but I never feel like I am selling anything.
When you are dealing with that "needed" product it becomes more like providing information or educating people about something they already know they need and then let them decide that you are the person they need to get it through. It actually becomes more of an art of selling yourself rather than whatever product it is you are offering.
The person knows they need it and they have to get it somewhere so why should you be the person they deal with. This does not have to be a "sell" either as the way you present the information and you knowledge of the product usually will be enough.
The approach I take is more of a numbers game. If I provide information to enough people every day then I will be successful in the long run. Why should I spend hours or days convincing one person they need my product when I could spend that time providing information to 100 other people and make a few sales from people who realize the value without having to push a sale.
If you want to work from home and you do not want to sell anything it does severely limit you available options but you can find the right home based company and product where you can sell without having to sell.
